This costellation crossed by the Milky Way is between the "cold" winter costellations at East (Auriga, Taurus) and the "hot" summer-autumn costellations at West (Cassiopeia). In the image it's visible a cluster of stars near the brightest star of the costellation, Mirphak: it's the open cluster Mel 20. Very easy to see in the image is the California Nebula, red coloured because it's composed of ionized hidrogen. At the edges of the image there are also the Pleiads and IC 405.
