IC
1848 and 1805 Nebulas and the Double Cluster

In this image there are two nebulas, IC
1848 (top left) and IC 1805 (top center), and also the Double Cluster (NGC
884 e 869), lying over the Milky Way stars. The nebulas are in Cassiopeia,
while the Double Cluster is in Perseus. Between the nebulas and clusters
there are two famous galaxys discovered by the Italian astronomer Paolo
Maffei, of which the brighter (Maffei I)
is visible in this image, and, better, in the enlargement in the under
image.
