The waning
Moon. Because the image was realized a few days after Full Moon there
are
a few details, but the application of a CCD camera maximized the
result.
The image is a mosaic of 8 frames of 0,1s realized with a HiSIS33 CCD
camera
(Thompson chip 512x512x19micron) at the direct focus of a Meade
Schmidt-Cassegrain
telescope f/10 (resulting resolution: 2"/pix). February 10, 2001, from
Tradate (VA, Italy) with the Moon very low on the horizon and with a
bad
seeing (V).
