This large nebula is quite faint, at least when imaging with a one-shot colour sensor like my DSLR. Interestingly the lower part of the nebula is blue coloured and also a small hint of blue is present near the brightest part. The resemblance of the whole subject seems to me a small dog (such as a "poodle"). Some dark nebulas are visible, such as LDN 1149 and 1154 on the upper-right. The field is very rich in stars because of the location, in the middle of Cepheus Milky Way. An H-alpha image of the same subject, shot with the Schmidt Camera, is here.
