NGC 2264 & RosetteIC2177 & M50

Clickable objects: Back to: In the image there are many bright stars, but none is part of Monoceros. At right there are the star of Orion, at top there is Procion of Canis Minor. But Monoceros is crossed by the Milky Way and it's rich of emission nebulas: the brightest is the Rosette nebula, with the near NGC 2264. At bottom, at the boundiary with Canis Major, there is IC 2177, named Seagull nebula.
