A Super-Moon is a Full Moon at perigee (maximum apparent diameter), while a Mini-Moon is a Full Moon at apogee (minimum apparent diameter). Apogee and perigee happen every lunar month, but they rarely coincide with the Full Moon, so that the full disk make the comparison more clear. Here are two dates when the Super- and Mini-Moons happened. The images were taken with exactly the same setup so that so digital rescaling has been performed in the comparison.
