Cocoon
Nebula IC 5146 (500mm)

The Cocoon Nebula is positioned at the
end of the dark nebula Pistol (B 168), like a projectile! The star field
is 12° E of Deneb of Cygnus, and is very rich in stars of the Milky
Way. Visible also the open cluster NGC 7209 on the prolongation of the
dark nebula, in the lower-left angle.
