For seeing the galaxys
go on the image with the mouse.
The Virgo Cluster is a gigantic galaxy
cluster, relatively near us, composed of about 3000 galaxys at about 60
million of light years. The upper image show the central region of the
cluster, with the big elliptical M87, M84 and M86. In the hi-res scansion
of the slide there are a lot of galaxys that go lost in the medium resolution
version, so I've enlarged them in the bottom image.
