Cocoon nebula IC 5146 (200mm)

The Cocoon Nebula is positioned at the end of the dark nebula Pistol (B 168), like a projectile! The star field is 12° E of Deneb of Cygnus, and is very rich in stars of the Milky Way. Many the open clusters visible in the image: M39 at top-right, NGC 7082 at center-right, NGC 7209 on the prolongation of the dark nebula, NGC 7243 at top-left. An erlargemento of the field of Cocoon is visible here.
