La nebulosa M1, chiamata Granchio, è un resto di supernova, per la precisione è ciò che rimane della famosa supernova del 1054, registrata dagli astronomi Cinesi ma di cui non si ha nessuna traccia nei documenti medioevali europei.

remanent, the remanent of the 1054 famous supernova registered by Chinese
